The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, this is a high-impact, commercially focused role combining financial planning and analysis with hands-on business partnering. You will own the monthly forecasting process and take responsibility for weekly and monthly revenue and gross margin reporting, including board-

level materials, while acting as the dedicated finance partner to our two largest channels, Amazon and Fullscript.

Beyond the numbers, you will provide the financial modelling that underpins pricing decisions andcontract negotiations, and play a leading role in improving how the finance team works, including harnessing AI and automation to sharpen both the speed and quality of our insight. It's a terrific opportunity for a commercially-minded finance professional who is as comfortable building a model as they are influencing the

business, and who wants to see their analysis translate directly into better decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Business Partnering – Amazon & Fullscript

  • Act as the dedicated finance partner for our two largest channels, Amazon and Fullscript (our biggest distributor), becoming the go-to person for commercial and financial questions in these areas.
  • Build strong working relationships with channel and commercial leads, challenging and supporting them to improve performance.
  • Translate channel-level trends into actionable insight, helping the business make better decisions on investment, promotions, and growth priorities.

Revenue & Gross Margin Ownership

  • Own the reporting and analysis of revenue and gross margin on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring numbers are accurate, timely, and well understood.
  • Prepare and contribute to board reports and other senior-level materials, presenting performance with clarity and commercial context.
  • Monitor margin drivers and flag emerging trends early, so the business can act before issues become problems.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Own the monthly Latest Estimate (LE) process end to end, from data gathering and stakeholder input through to a credible, well-supported forecast.
  • Build and maintain the models and analysis that underpin the LE, identifying risks and opportunities and clearly articulating the story behind the numbers.
  • Partner with the wider finance team to ensure consistency between the LE, budget, and actuals, explaining variances with insight rather than just description.

Commercial Support & Financial Modelling

  • Build robust financial models to support pricing decisions, contract renegotiations, and other commercial initiatives.
  • Quantify the financial impact of different scenarios, giving decision-makers clear, well-reasoned options.
  • Provide hands-on commercial finance support to negotiations, helping secure the best outcomes for the business.

Continuous Improvement

  • Continuously improve how we plan, report, and analyse, streamlining manual processes and reducing time-to-insight.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to apply AI and automation to finance workflows, raising both the speed and quality of our output.
  • Champion better ways of working across the team, sharing tools and approaches that scale.

Basic Requirements

Experience / Training / Education

Essential

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or qualified by substantial relevant experience.
  • Strong FP&A background, with proven experience owning forecasting or estimate processes and explaining variances with genuine commercial insight.
  • Excellent financial modelling skills, including building models from scratch to support pricing, scenarios, and negotiations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to handle large data sets accurately and efficiently.
  • A commercial mindset — you instinctively connect the numbers to business decisions and can hold your own with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong business partnering and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge as well as support.
  • Experience preparing high-quality reporting and analysis for senior audiences, ideally including board-level materials.

Desirable

  • Experience in a consumer goods, retail, e-commerce, or distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with channel economics, particularly marketplaces (e.g. Amazon) and distributor models.
  • Exposure to revenue and gross margin analysis and the drivers behind them.
  • A genuine interest in process improvement and using AI and automation tools to work smarter.
  • Experience with BI or visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and/or ERP systems.
