The Role

The Principal Recruiter role within our Global Talent Acquisition team is responsible for delivering on the most critical and complex hiring needs for Metagenics. Operating as a trusted advisor to leadership, this role will partner directly with business leaders to shape talent strategies, attract top-tier candidates, and build an exceptional workforce that fuels our Marketing growth.

 

This role will specifically focus on supporting marketing positions.  Ideal candidate will have experience working within direct-to-consumer (DTC) small to midsize disruptive companies, digital space a plus.  The Principal Recruiter will also be responsible for building and nurturing strong candidate pipelines, particularly within high-demand and competitive markets. 

 

Location: Remote in U.S. (Contract 1099 position) and job seekers who have supported New Jersey talent pools are preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Talent Partner

    • Serve as a trusted advisor to Marketing business leaders, guiding hiring strategies for executive, marketing, and mission-critical roles.

    • Anticipate organizational talent risks (e.g., attrition, skill gaps) and proactively design recruitment approaches aligned with business priorities.

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment & Pipeline Building

    • Own and execute end-to-end recruiting for senior marketing, digital, and niche roles that directly impact business growth.

    • Proactively build and maintain strong candidate pipelines, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality talent in competitive spaces.

    • Deliver an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience throughout the hiring lifecycle.

  • Hiring Practice Leadership

    • Contribute to the design and implementation of best-in-class recruiting processes, ensuring consistency across the Global TA function.

    • Introduce innovative sourcing and selection methodologies to strengthen hiring outcomes.

  • Direct-to-Consumer & Disruptor Market Expertise

    • Bring experience recruiting for small, disruptive companies and emerging consumer brands, with a focus on marketing and digital strategy positions.

    • Understand the unique dynamics of scaling DTC and digitally-driven organizations, applying that expertise to hiring approaches.

  • Employer Branding & Market Presence

    • Champion Metagenics’s external employer brand within assigned client groups and competitive talent markets.

    • Build strong external networks and serve as a “talent magnet” to attract top recruiting professionals and high-caliber candidates.

  • Mentorship & Team Development

    • Take an active role in mentoring TA colleagues, providing guidance, feedback, and coaching.

    • Influence team composition decisions, including hiring, promotions, and performance management.

  • Organizational Influence & Market Insights

    • Act as a consultant to GTA leadership, offering thought leadership, labor market intelligence, and competitive insights.

    • Contribute to enterprise-level projects that shape long-term talent acquisition strategies.

  • Relationship Management

    • Build trusted partnerships with People Business Partners and business leaders to deliver integrated workforce strategies.

    • Represent Metagenics with integrity, professionalism, and alignment to company values.

Basic Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, with proven success in marketing, digital, and executive hiring.

  • Industry Focus: Background supporting direct-to-consumer businesses, disruptors, or small high-growth companies, ideally in health, wellness, or consumer-facing sectors.

  • Pipeline Expertise: Demonstrated ability to proactively build and manage candidate pipelines for highly competitive talent pools.

  • Business Acumen: Strong organizational savvy and ability to anticipate risks, adapt to change, and align hiring practices to business priorities.

  • Brand & Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of employer branding, labor market dynamics, and talent acquisition best practices.

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Experience coaching and developing recruiting teams; ability to shape team composition and culture.

  • Collaboration: Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and alignment across diverse groups.
