The Role

This role serves as a strategic partner across finance, accounting, and commercial teams, ensuring seamless financial analytics and reporting between Metagenics and Amazon partner, Pattern. The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in aligning financial data, pricing strategies, inventory levels, and profitability insights with the broader business goals. The role will also focus on optimizing monthly processes, ensuring data integrity, and standardizing reporting for Amazon business analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and review monthly journal entries, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and partnering with
• accounting for month end close.
• Partner with Pattern to maintain precise data flow from their Predict platform to Metagenics’ financial systems.
• Ensure live price list accuracy, making necessary adjustments to align with competitive market shifts.
• Maintain inventory level accuracy, tracking movements, stock replenishment needs, and forecasting trends.
• Provide insightful analysis on key business drivers, moving trends, and profitability metrics.
• Standardize monthly financial processes related to Amazon channel operations and closing procedures.
• Collaborate with Amazon business leads to evaluate product trends, sales patterns, and other reporting metrics.
• Conduct financial deep dives into sales performance, cost structures, and profitability insights.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure that pricing, rebate structures, and financial reconciliations are aligned with strategic goals.
• Support forecasting and budgeting for the Amazon business, enhancing predictive analytics and strategic decision-making.
• Forecast sales lift and analyze Tentpole promotional activity.

Basic Requirements

Experience/Training/Education

• Bachelor’s degree required
• A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a commercial environment
• Demonstrated experience in forecasting, budget management and risk assessment
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, most notably with Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated experience in utilizing BI reporting tools such as Power BI required
• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics D365 FinOps and CE preferred
• Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or retail environment preferred

Compensation

The current range for this role based out of Aliso Viejo, CA is $78,000/yr. to $91,000/yr.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  

This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
