The Role

 

This position will support two People & Culture Directors (Director, Global Internal Communications & Engagement and Director, Global Organizational Development) to help deliver the following strategic objectives for the People & Culture Department:

  • Globally coordinate the key outputs for people experience including communication, engagement, learning, talent and performance
  • Track, report and enhance employee engagement
  • Support and build the workforce’s capability and talent pipeline
  • Bring our Corporate Brand and Employer Value Proposition (EVP)
  • Create compelling and transparent communication that inspires movement, generates energy and fosters engagement
  • Elevate the global support to regions, with the goal of driving consistency and efficiency across the global P&C function
  • Drive the global learning and Academy lifecycle including support of needs assessment, instructional design, scheduling and impact assessment. Potential for involvement in facilitation and coaching
  • Support global initiatives related to performance management, goal setting and development planning

This role has a strong focus on the North American Region but will also work closely with the EMEA and APAC regions as required to deliver various Organizational Development, internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

You will perform a variety of functions within the Internal Comms/Engagement space, as well as other tasks in support of Organizational Development initiatives, including (but may expand beyond) the following:

 

Employee Engagement:

  • Coordinate and support the execution of important culture and engagement initiatives that continuously enhance Metagenics employee experience, including but not limited to: facilitating engagement (pulse) surveys, global and regional townhall meetings, learning and development programs, global and regional recognition programs, employee events, wellness at work program, and onboarding and induction
  • Coordinate and execute enhancements to our EVP and Internal Wellness at Work programs that boost our companywide attraction and retention efforts
  • Take a lead role in coordinating employee engagement initiatives globally and within North America that foster a positive and fun workplace culture so that our people are excited by the work that they do
  • Keep a pulse on employee sentiment and engagement through a thorough analysis of surveys, exit interviews and other sources of feedback; proactively identifying opportunities to positively impact the employee experience in a meaningful and purposeful way
  • Review and analyze insights and data from global pulse surveys; working collaboratively with the business and Leaders to prioritize specific engagement actions · Facilitate the processes of induction, onboarding and orientation for new starters in North America to ensure that new starter employees have a successful onboarding experience

Internal Communications:

  • Partner with the Director of Global Internal Comms to support HR and business initiatives by preparing, developing and delivering high quality communication materials in line with the Corporate Communication Plan; creating and managing a consistent brand identity
  • Monitor and respond to communication programs and channels i.e. Metagenics News, LinkedIn, Viva Engage, SharePoint, and other communication channels
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve engagement between employees and leaders through corporate communications
  • The role will be focused on supporting our internal communications initiatives through a range of mediums that build engagement, employee community and support our culture, as well as providing support

Organizational Development (Support the Director of Organizational Development in delivering learning and development courses through the Metagenics Learning Academy in various ways):

 

Academy Scheduling:

  • Forecasting annual planning of dates and session numbers
  • Liaison with regions to agree dates
  • Management of Outlook invitations
  • Managing exceptions such as date changes, rescheduling of individuals, etc.
  • Creating and managing registration processes and forms

Academy communication:

  • Revitalization of Academy brochure including updating of course descriptions
  • Creation and management of an annual comms plan including key announcements to P&C, to leaders and to all staff
  • Sending of Academy Alerts to drive last minute participation
  • General internal marketing activities to promote learning
  • Responding to general queries about learning and OD initiatives

OD Reporting:

  • Collation of Academy attendance and updating of master file
  • Creation of region/function/team level attendance reports throughout the year
  • Creation and distribution of feedback surveys
  • Creation and distribution of impact assessment surveys o Feedback Academy reporting and actioning of recommended enhancements
  • Creation of talent management templates and reports
  • Collation of talent management reports
  • Coordination of 360 reports
  • Coordination of DISC reports o eLearning reporting and admin
  • Pulse admin and reporting
  • Cornerstone admin and reporting

Instructional and graphic design:

  • Branding of all MLA content including PPTs and worksheets
  • Creation and distribution of prework materials
  • Coordination, creation and updating of SharePoint content for Academy
  • Search for external coaches, guest speakers and facilitators
  • Creation of basic online content for eLearning platform
  • Visual branding of individual courses

General

· Provide support to the CHRO and broader P&C team as needed.

 

Note that there is potential in this role to be involved in instructional design, facilitation and coaching activities to support further career growth of Organizational Development.

 

Basic Requirements

 

Experience/Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma qualified in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of Organizational Development, internal communications and employee engagement experience. 
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Viva Engage)
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills to embed reporting and procedural norms as part of own role, within the P&C teams and for the wider business.
  • High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various audiences and build trusted relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret and apply learnings and solutions from various sources related to the employee experience
  • Ability to demonstrate the ability to think strategically / see the broader picture
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and organize workload to achieve goals and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage discreet initiatives with minimal supervision desirable
  • Experience working with an online survey platform, performance management software and various communication and design tools (CultureAmp, Cornerstone, Canva, Yammer)
  • Experience presenting training material or facilitating small group workshops
  • Experience writing communication briefs using a range of format

 

Compensation

 

The current range for this role based out of Aliso Viejo, CA is $62,000/yr. to $75,000/yr.

 

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  

 

This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
