The Role

 

*Please note – this is estimated to be a 6-month, temporary contract role 

 

As a Consultant of Consumer and Customer Insights, you will work closely with cross-functional partners in marketing, digital operations, and innovation (among other functions) to help provide inputs and strategically guide decision making based on a deep understanding of the consumer and HCP (health care professional) 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and independently manage various qualitative, quantitative, secondary, and synthesis insights projects, from initial inception and request to final deliverable and implementation both domestically with some global research potentially in scope.  
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to support multiple functions within the business across key business needs includes (but not limited to): Equity, category growth/understanding, innovation, communication, trends, test and learn, customer experience, drivers/barriers, decision journeys, etc. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and effectively collaborate with them to successfully complete and deliver insights projects.  
  • Help manage an all-inclusive market research community, driving agile, holistic understanding of the consumer and HCP 
  • Help manage and leverage data resources, subscriptions and tools 
  • A strong communicator and collaborator. Work effectively with all members of the organization, from individual contributors to top execs.

What success looks like 

  • Cross functional strategic partner that elevates Insights as a function within the organization including democratizing insights to elevate the Consumer and HCP voice within the business. 
  • Successfully execute insights projects based on the objectives and needs of the business and helping to implement and drive action around those insights. 
  • Successfully connect the dots across multiple sources to uncover powerful insights and identify growth opportunities across the business 
  • Become a trusted thought partner. 
  • Partner with Consumer Insights teammates to connect dots across our insights 
  • Identify key required learning and data (internal and external) gap needs that will drive key business goals 

Basic Requirements

  • Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ years in consumer insights or research role preferred. 
  • We’d love to hear from those:  
  • With a breadth of research experience, methodological understanding and background managing both quantitative and qualitative research –client-side experience.  
  • Has independently led end to end research. This includes getting to the root of question at hand, scoping with vendor, executing and reporting with action led recommendations. 
  • Have strong research experience with CPG brands (consumer healthcare a plus) and/or with healthcare professionals.  
  • Worked on a digitally native business. 
  • Experience with managing a market research community. 
  • Educational Position Requirements:  
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant areas include, but are not limited to Marketing, Business, Behavioral Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Cultural Anthropology, Business Economics, or Cognitive Science, is required.
  • Master’s or doctoral degree in social sciences, business, or other relevant field, is nice to have, but not necessary.

Compensation

 

The current range for this role based out of the United States is $110.00/hr. to $180.00/hr.  The weekly work hours can range between 30-40 hours per week.

 

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  

 

This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

A minimum of two workdays per week are to be conducted at the Aliso Viejo office (25 Enterprise Ste 200, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656) if you are based in the Orange County area.  This hybrid work model does not apply to those who live outside of Orange County, CA.
