Position Summary:

 This position is responsible for the efficient daily manufacturing processes during shift operations.  This position is also responsible for ensuring that the production staff follows good manufacturing practices and established SOPs.    



  • Ensure that manufacturing staff follows GMP guidelines
  • Ensure that employees follow established SOPs and Work Instructions
  • Ensure that each employee is operating equipment safely and are proactive with their own safety
  • Responsible for employee coaching, training, counseling, and growth
  • Responsible for Accurate Time Keeping for all MFG Team Members
  • Network with department leads to ensure production schedule is followed
  • Provide leadership for team to reach established/identified-manufacturing goals and standards
  • Responsible for all coordination and execution of any and all problem-solving situations
  • Review shop orders during manufacturing processes for completeness and accuracy
  • Verify and sign shop orders prior to material leaving workstation
  • Complete daily shift reports
  • Represent manufacturing sign off for floor changes to shop orders
  • Monitor, review, and change SOPs where appropriate
  • “Other” common mid-management duties (i.e., track absenteeism etc.)
  • Under “Highest Priority Conditions”, be called upon to operate equipment

What you'll need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational training in supervisory skills
  • 3-5 years supervisory/lead or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in production environment

Knowledge of:

  • Basic manufacturing knowledge
  • General knowledge of production procedures
  • Basic clerical skills


  • Leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a multi-tasked environment
  • Ability to anticipate problems and troubleshoot
  • Forklift

**This position required GMP training and certification**


Physical requirements/working conditions:

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment
  • Sits at a computer station, meeting table or work desk for more than two-thirds of each day
  • Stands and walks to other stations and departments throughout the day
  • Uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment most of the day
  • May stoop or crouch to access files or storage
  • Requires clear vision at 20 inches or less with or without corrective lenses
  • Hearing and speech within normal ranges and sufficient for clear communication face to face and especially via the telephone
  • Lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; lifts 25 pounds occasionally
  • Exposed to noise levels typical of manufacturing environments
