    Job Summary:

    This job is responsible for assigning personnel to associated job functions and directing shop orders through the packeting lines. This position is also responsible for insuring that all personnel within the department follow established Safety Policies, GMPs, and SOPs at all times.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that each employee is operating equipment safely and are proactive with their own safety
    • Ensure the quality of the product is being produced following all GMPs and SOPs
    • Ensure that department staff follow GMPs and SOPs
    • Receive and direct shop orders through department as scheduled
    • Assign department personnel to specific tasks
    • Coordinate timetables with shift supervisor and production personnel
    • Record daily activity in shift lead log book
    • Perform routine spot checks on work in process
    • Teach, coach, and give corrective action to department staff
    • Inspect and validate completed jobs for accuracy
    • Record packing supplies used on production masters
    • Reconcile production orders upon completion of packaging process
    • Equipment use: Effytech and WrapAde packeting machines, various packaging line equipment, pallet jacks, lift equipment, stencil printer, Inkjet equipment, and Shrink wrap machines

    Qualifications and Guidelines:


    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 2 years similar experience
    Knowledge Of:
    • Basic manufacturing knowledge
    • General knowledge of production procedures
    • Familiar with writing, revising, and implementing SOPs
    • Basic clerical skills.
    • Attention to detail
    • Strong leadership & organizational skills
    • Ability to work efficiently in a multi-tasked environment
    • Able to safely operate manufacturing equipment
    • Time management skills

    Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: 


    • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment
    • Sits at a computer station, meeting table or work desk for more than two-thirds of each day
    • Stands and walks to other stations and departments throughout the day
    • Uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment most of the day
    • May stoop or crouch to access files or storage
    • Requires clear vision at 20 inches or less with or without corrective lenses
    • Hearing and speech within normal ranges and sufficient for clear communication face to face and especially via the telephone
    • Lifts up to10 pounds regularly; lifts 25 pounds occasionally

    Exposed to noise levels typical of manufacturing environments
