    Bariatric Advantage is a strategic business unit of Metagenics and is currently seeking candidates with strong social media skills and desire to help manage and develop the business' product pipeline.

    Responsibilities

     

    Position Overview:

     

    The Associate Brand Manager works with the Category Manager(s) to assist in growing the sales and profitability of a specific category or categories of products under the Bariatric Advantage brand. The Associate Brand Manager assists in in creating, coordinating and executing the strategies and tactics for product development, marketing and sales of the products in the Category. This position is involved in a broad range of marketing activities including product development, social media, and sales support, as well as market research, market analysis, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and communications activities for the Category. The Associate Brand Manager will assist in specific project responsibilities and products under the direction of the Senior Category Manager.

    What you'll do:

    • Obtain and maintain an understanding of Bariatric Advantage and its products, the competitors and the respective customers and markets so as to thoroughly understand product development and pricing and positioning
    • Play a key role in developing and executing the product pipeline strategy for the Category in support of the corporate strategic objectives and marketing strategy
    • Work closely with the commercial team on pipeline execution, including responsibility of creation and management of Target Product Profiles, gate review decks, collateral development, and sales training material
    • Lead social media strategic efforts and tracking, including regular execution outside of standard business hours
    • Work with Marketing Communications to manage and track collateral literature production for the Category
    • Support the Sr. Category Manager and the sales force in development of competitive product analysis, materials, strategies and marketing programs to help combat the competition
    • Support the Sr. Category Manager to conduct market research to determine trends and opportunities, create product positioning and pricing, create forecasts, understand the life cycle of the products in the category and develop marketing programs
    • Work with Finance and the Sr. Category Manager to manage collateral budgeting responsibilities for the various marketing areas relative to the category to ensure that overall profitability requirements are met
    • Work with Regulatory and Legal departments to assure that all marketing and advertising materials for the Category are in compliance with FDA and FTC regulations.
    • Participate in other duties or projects as needed

    What you'll need:

    Experience / Education / Requirements 

    • BA or BS, preferably in Marketing
    • 1 or more years previous product management marketing experience, preferably involving health care products or other similar industry experience
    • Understanding of, and preferably experience with social media marketing
    • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and a multi-tasker
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Office, including PowerPoint creation and public speaking
    • Project management experience
    • Must be collaborative and able to work with many personality types
    • Understanding of positioning, pricing, and budget management
    • Understanding of graphic design, copy writing, advertising, communication, planning and literature production
    • Ability to travel occasionally including overnight trips

     

    Physical Requirements or working conditions:

     

    • Sits at a computer station, meeting table or work desk for more than two-thirds of each day
    • Stands and walks to other stations and departments throughout the day
    • Uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment most of the day
    • May stoop or crouch to access files or storage
    • Requires clear vision at 20 inches or less with or without corrective lenses
    • Hearing and speech within normal ranges and sufficient for clear communication face to face and especially via the telephone
    • Lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; lifts 25 pounds occasionally
    • Exposed to noise levels typical of office environments
    • Ability to travel by car and airplane for business
